Ingredients:
Barley: 1/2 cup, soaked inwards iv cups H2O for atleast xxx mins.
Orange lentils: 1/2 cup
Butternut crush cubes: iv cups
Pumpkin cubes: ii cups
Turnip cubes: 1 cup
Water: ii liters
Ginger: 1 inch piece
Cumin powder: 1 tsp
Coriander powder: 1 tsp
Red chilli powder: 1/4 tsp
Black pepper: 1/4 tsp, freshly ground.
Turmeric powder: 1/4 tsp
Bay leaf: 1
Garam masala powder: 1/8 tsp ( optional).
Coconut oil: 1 tsp
Salt: to taste
Jaggery: 1/2 tsp ( brownish sugar/ carbohydrate tin last used instead).
Method:
Cook barley inwards iv cups of H2O until tender, around xx mins. When the barley is cooking, prep the remaining ingredients.
Boil ii liters of H2O inwards a pot.
To this add together the washed lentils, ginger too laid upwards for fifteen mins. Remove the scum that accumulates on the surface.
Now add together the cooked barley, squashes, turnips, bay leaf, turmeric, cumin too coriander powder, dark pepper, jaggery too salt. Cook until tender, around xxx mins.
Add to a greater extent than H2O if yous respect the soup thick.
Heat 1 tsp kokosnoot crude on medium heat. Add the curry pulverisation too carmine chilli powder. Turn off the stove. Add this to the pot.
Serve hot ! Enjoy alongside some crusty breadstuff if yous wish! I had it equally is!
