Freshly grated coconut: 1 tsp( optional)
Salt: to taste

For tempering:
Coconut oil: 1/2 tsp
Mustard seeds: 1/2 tsp
Urad dal ( divide matpe beans): 1/4 tsp
Curry leaves: 1 sprig

For the batter:

Besan ( chick pea flour): 3/4 cup
Water : 1/2cup
Salt: 1/4 tsp
Cumin powder: 1/8 tsp
Red chilli powder: 1/8 tsp

Coconut fossil oil for frying

For healthier version: kokosnoot fossil oil to grease the appe pan.

Method:


Boil the potatoes alongside the peel until tender inwards plenty H2O so every bit to completely immerse the potatoes inwards it. You could laid upwards the whole white patato or cutting it into quarters in addition to laid upwards it.
